THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Recent report claims that some people attempted to cast fraudulent votes at the 7th booth in Chempazhanthy ward in Thiruvananthapuram. The incident took place at Manakkal LP School. It was found that some other person had voted for a woman named Karishma SS. Following this, she then voted on the ballot.

Meanwhile, the LDF has lodged a complaint with the presiding officer by alleging that the BJP had committed voter fraud. The LDF also alleged that the BJP in-agent had paid the voter. Following the complaint, the BJP in-agent was removed from the booth. This resulted in a dispute between the BJP candidate Chempazhanthy Udayan and election officials.

Meanwhile, the second incident took place at a booth in Palayam ward of Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. A person named Mustafa was arrested in connection with the incident. Following the complaint of the UDF agents, the presiding officer called the police and ordered his arrest.
