THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister Kadakampally Surendran said chief minister’s additional private secretary C M Raveeendran is seriously ill. There is no need for him to deliberately stay away from the interrogation. The minister said that even if notice is issued not three but thirty times, one has to undergo treatment if he falls ill.

The minister said no one will deliberately stay away and there is no need for Raveendran to do that. Raveendran is honest and loyal and that belief in him led him to work with the chief minister and the then opposition leader for the last 30 years. We all know why trying to trap Ravi. Summoning Raveendran for interrogation is an attempt to stain the office of the chief minister, the minister added.

Raveendran had yesterday sought treatment at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College soon after the ED issued a notice to him. The explanation was that for post COVID treatment. The ED had asked him to appear for interrogation tomorrow.

This is the third time he is being hospitalised just before the interrogation. The notice was issued to him to know more about money laundering dealings on KFON and Life Mission projects.
