KOCHI: The health condition of Kumari, the maid from Tamil Nadu, who fell down from a flat in Kochi, continues to be in a critical state. She will undergo surgery on Wednesday and is currenlty undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Kochi.
Currently, the probe is based on Kumari’s mobile phone. Police also said that the reason for the attempt to escape flat will only be revealed through Kumari’s testimony. Police also suspect that she might have made the attempt as the flat owner denied permission her to go back home. Although police interrogated the flat owner and other nearby residents, they are still not able to crack the mystery behind the case.
Kumari who fell down from the ‘Link Horizon’ flat near Marine Drive suffered severe injuries in her leg and head. Even though she had undergone a critical surgery on Sunday, doctors say her condition continued to be critical. Kumari who went back to her home in Salem after the lockdown was imposed, came back to the flat in Kochi just five days back. However, Kumari asked the flat owner to grant her leave so that she can go back to her home again. Police suspect that she attempted to escape from the flat, as the flat owner denied her the permission to leave.
