THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 4875 cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, Health Minister KK Shailaja said. Among these, 4230 persons developed the disease through contact including 508 cases without an identified source of infection. 94 persons who came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus. 43 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 4647 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 59,923 active cases in the state.
The state recorded 35 COVID deaths on Wednesday with the toll rising to 2507.
