THRISSUR: The report of the district collector mentioned no lapse on the allegation that Minister A C Moideen misused his post and violated election norms. Moideen casting his vote ahead of scheduled polling time 7 am had stirred a controversy yesterday.

The controversy is that he voted before 6.55 am. The report of the collector had mentioned no flaws. The voting started when the presiding officer’s watch showed 7 am. The collector’s report said the minister did not violate election norms. The report has been given to the election commissioner.

The minister cast his vote at Panangattukara booth in Thekkumkara panchayat in Thrissur in the morning. Soon Anil Akkara raised a complaint on the issue and alleged that it was a violation of election norms.
