THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 4642 cases of COVID-19 on Friday, Health Minister KK Shailaja said. Among these, 4029 persons developed the disease through contact including 496 cases without an identified source of infection. 73 persons who came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus. 44 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 4748 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 59,380 active cases in the state.
The state confirmed 29 COVID deaths on Friday with the toll rising to 2562.
