THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: More investigation on Swapna’s written testimonial to the court, in which she said that she was threatened not to reveal any more names in connection with the gold smuggling case, will be conducted. Jail chief has asked the central range DIG to probe into Swapna’s claims. Earlier, in the investigation report submitted by south zone DIG, it is said that nobody has issued death threats to Swapna while she was lodged in Attakulangara jail.

The central DIG’s probe will be centred on Viyoor and Ernakulam prisons, where she was lodged earlier and whether anybody has issued death threats to Swapna there? The investigation is done on the direction of jail chief DGP Rishiraj Singh. In the report submitted by south zone DIG, he has said that there is no basis for Swapna Suresh’s claim and she is raising baseless allegations against the jail officials.

Swapna in her complaint filed before the court has said that certain officials who look like policemen have demanded her not to tell further names of VIPs involved in the case. She told the court that there is a threat to her life as she has informed the court in secret testimony about the details of certain persons involved in the gold smuggling case. The south zone DIG after a thorough investigation has concluded that all allegations levelled by Swapna are baseless.
