THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that the government has not made any attempt to protect the official associated with the accused in the gold smuggling case. The CM said that there was no prejudice in the investigation of the case and those who did wrong would not be protected. However, the CM alleged that some of the leaders were holding a press conference and giving secret statements made by the accused in the case before the magistrate. These leaders even say who all should be questioned. The BJP is trying to overthrow the opposition-ruled states. Central agencies will not be allowed to graze in Kerala, he said.
Kerala accepted the investigating agencies without prejudice. However, the CM said that the probe did not seem to require much analysis to identify the objectives of the central agencies.
The CM said that the allegations against Raveendran were fabricated and asked what evidence are there against him. These allegations are fabricated by the RMP. CM added that the allegation that he did not campaign in the election is not true. He said he has not distanced himself from the people. The Chief Minister also criticized the central agencies' duty is not helping the BJP in the elections.
