THODUPUZHA: A massive encroachment evacuation had taken place at Munnar and Vagamon. The government reclaimed almost 100 acres of land. The action of the revenue department is based on the order of the Kerala High Court. The revenue department took over the land illegally acquired by Toll Tree Resort at Pothamedu in Munnar using forged title deed.

17.5 acres of land included in survey number 231, 241 and 243 were seized. The action was taken by a survey team led by Munnar L R tehsildar K Radhakrishnan. 79 acres of land at Uluppuni in Wagamon in survey numbers 818, 819, 879 which was in the hands of Cyril P Jacob, a native of Ernakulam, for the last ten years, have also been seized. The action was taken after finding that the land was illegally acquired using a forged document.
