THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 4698 cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, Health Minister KK Shailaja said. Among these, 4034 persons developed the disease through contact including 528 cases without an identified source of infection. 93 persons who came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus. 43 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 5258 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 59,438 active cases in the state.
The state confirmed 29 COVID deaths on Sunday with the toll rising to 2623.
