Many have seen the film Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum which had Fahadh Faasil and Suraj Venjaramoodu in lead roles. The film won many awards for its diversity of theme and excellent presentation. Fahadh played a thief caught after a theft in bus, but he confused the police without admitting it.

The cops in Thampanoor station have been in the same situation for the past two days. Scenes reminiscent of the film 'Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum' were staged at the Thampanoor Police Station and Medical College. The incident happened on Friday. Mohammad Shafeeq stole a four gram gold anklet of teacher couple Aji Kumar and Mini’s daughter, who were waiting to catch a bus for Karode, their home town.

Shafeeq fled when the couple and others created a commotion. Passengers and police ran after him. When they were about to catch him, the accused swallowed the mainour (thondimuthal). He did not confess to the theft when questioned by the police. Finally they decided to take an X-ray of the stomach. The X-ray showed the ‘thondimuthal’ in his stomach. The accused was produced in court, remanded and then shifted to the medical college. The police is waiting for the thing to come out.
