THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 2707 cases of COVID-19 on Monday, Health Minister KK Shailaja said. Among these, 2291 persons developed the disease through contact including 328 cases without an identified source of infection. 51 persons who came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus. 37 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 4481 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 57,640 active cases in the state.
The state confirmed 24 COVID deaths on Monday with the toll rising to 2647.

In the last 24 hours, 31,893 samples have been tested. The test positivity rate stands at 8.49.
With the addition of 1 new region and the removal of 4, there are 433 hotspots in the state.
