THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State government has revised the covid 19 guidelines to Sabarimala. After this 26th, PCR test results will be mandatory for pilgrims. The devotees should have the test result with them which was conducted 24 hours before coming to Sabarimala. This is applicable to both officials and pilgrims alike.
Devotees should possess with them the covid 19 test certificate, which was conducted 24 hours before reaching Nilakkal. In the antigen test conducted on Monday in Sabarimala 36 persons were tested positive for the pandemic. The tests were conducted on 236 persons. With this the devaswom board and health department decided to revise the covid 19 guidelines in Sabarimala.
Among those who were tested positive for the pandemic, there are 18 policemen and 12 Devaswom staff. Those who were tested positive were taken to pampa and later they were transferred to the covid first line treatment centres in the district. Authorities have also asked those persons who were in contact with these people to go on quarantine.
