PALAKKAD: Minister A K Balan has asked whether Ramesh Chennithala will resign from the post of opposition leader if the left front gets majority in local body polls. He also asked the same to KPCC president Mullapally Ramachandran. “Otherwise they should apologise for the allegations made against the government as of now,” he asked.

“This election will decide whether people are with the left front or not? LDF will certainly win big this time. If it doesn't happen, let the opposition ask whether the government will resign or not, its answer will be given then. He also said that in Palakkad municipality, it is unpredictable to say till the last moment which front will win the majority,” he said.

How many times the accused were interrogated in the gold smuggling case? What all things were said about Jaleel. The minister also asked whether the probe agencies were able to produce any evidence against the government. “We don’t fear the probe agencies but, when investigation proceeded in the wrong direction, we responded against it,” he said. The minister also added that if vested interests groups approach the beneficiaries of life mission and unravel campaigns of lies to them, they are never going to hear that.

“People will deny the allegations against LDF. Left front’s popular base increased further, when Kerala Congress(M) joined with us. Ties with Jamat will create confusion and a wrong impression among workers of Muslim League. Electoral understanding with Jamat will only backfire to Congress and the League. The minister also said that UDF will not get any municipality wards in Palakkad.
