THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 6185 cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said. Among these, 5295 persons developed the disease through contact including 770 cases without an identified source of infection. 66 persons who came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus. 54 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 5728 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 58,184s active cases in the state.
The state confirmed 27 COVID deaths on Wednesday with the toll rising to 2707.
