THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As many as 4969 people tested positive for the virus on Thursday, Health Minister KK Shailaja said. Among these, 4282 persons developed the disease through contact including 541 cases without an identified source of infection. 99 persons who came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus. 47 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 4970 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 58,155 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 27 deaths due to the virus on Thursday with the toll rising to 2734.
