PATHANAMTHITTA: The BJP has won in Lahaattathodu ward at Perunad including Sabarimala. It was P K Manju who won here. She defeated Kunjumol Teacher of the CPM by a majority of 95 votes. This is the first time the BJP is winning in this ward where Sabarimala is located.

However, this member cannot visit Sabarimala either for development talks or for darshan. Manju who attended the strike for the preservation of rituals is only 38 years old.
