KOCHI: C M Raveendran, additional private secretary to the chief minister, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate for interrogation on the second day today. He appeared at their office in Kochi. He was questioned for nearly 14 hours yesterday.

The ED will take further steps after assessing his statement in detail. He is being questioned in money laundering and benami dealings behind the gold smuggling. The interrogation is based on the statements given by the accused in the case and evidence found during investigation.

The ED will quiz him on the tender procedures of various government projects, investors, various contracts awarded to Uralungal, Life Mission deal etc. When the media tried to get his response after the interrogation yesterday, he left without responding to them.

Meantime, the ED will examine in detail the documents handed over by Raveendran related to the financial dealings. Raveendran appeared before the ED after being served a fourth notice. He failed to appear in the first three notices served.
