THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC chief Mullappally Ramachandran took full responsibility for the disastrous defeat faced by the congress in the local body polls. The prevailing public politics in Kerala could not be discussed in the state and the party was not able to effectively face the misleading propaganda, he said while briefing the media. It is true lapses occurred. The party is optimistic that it will be able to win the coming assembly elections by learning the lessons from that fall, he said.
Mullappally said the media surrounded me and attacked. It is like attacking a deer by a pack of wolves. I did nothing wrong. There is no disappointment in the election results. He also expressed faith in getting absolute majority in the coming assembly polls.
All the flaws will be rectified soon. An agreement on it was reached at the meeting of political affairs held yesterday. A decision has been taken to convene a meet of political affairs committee members, MPs, MLAs and DCC presidents on January 6 and 7.
