THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday said that the Muslim League has weakened the Congress to such a stage that it is unable to choose its own leader or decide its politics. According to the CM, the reason for this deplorable situation is the shamelessness of the Congress to do anything to get four votes. The system of UDF itself has become irrelevant. The Chief Minister criticized on Facebook that nothing more can be expected from the UDF which has given up secularism and democratic values.
'It is a strange experience in politics for another party to dictate who should lead one party. Such anti-democratic and extraordinary things are happening in the UDF. Ever since the results of the local body elections came out, it has to be doubted whether the Indian Union Muslim League has taken over the leadership of the UDF. Has the League become a centre for commenting on the internal affairs of the Congress and deciding who should lead the Congress?' the CM wrote on his Facebook page.
