SABARIMALA: As the virtual queue facility has not been made open, 5000 devotees will not be allowed darshan in Sabarimala. Although the high court permitted 5000 people to enter from Sunday, the system has not been made open till Saturday night. Presently 2,000 devotees are allowed for darshan during weekdays and 3,000 on Saturdays and Sundays.

Devotees booking online are only allowed darshan this time. The government had directed those coming for darshan after December 26 to undergo a RTPCR, RT Lamp and Express NAT tests within 48 hours. This is after the employees and police in Sabairmala contracted the virus.
