KOCHI: The BJP state leadership asserted that Shobha Surendran is keeping away from the party for no apparent reason. The state faction informed this stand to the RSS state unit and the BJP central leadership.
The act of Shobha Surendran, BJP vice-president, protesting after keeping away from the party is not right. Doing such things without cooperating with the party is not acceptable. The state unit complained that Shobha did not attend party meetings despite demands of those in charge and was not active in activities including local elections.
The RSS had asked the BJP state leadership to explain the reason why the party was not able to achieve the expected victory in the local body polls. The Sangh Parivar also sought an explanation for the non-cooperation of Shobha Surendran. It was after this the state leadership explained things.
