THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As many as 5711 people tested positive for the virus on Sunday, Health Minister KK Shailaja said.
Among these, 5058 persons developed the disease through contact including 501 cases without an identified source of infection. 111 persons who came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus. 41 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 4471 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 61,604 active cases in the state.
The state confirmed 30 deaths due to the virus on Sunday with the toll rising to 2816.
