MUNNAR: Police said nine people organised the night party in Wagamon last night. People were collected after campaigning on social media. The police is interrogating the sixty people taken into custody. They are from different parts of the state.

The resort is owned by a CPI local leader. He has been identified as Elappara former panchayat president Shaji Kuttikad. Parties have been held here in a similar manner before. The police had then warned them and left.

Police raided the resort last night and seized a large cache of drugs. The raid was conducted at around 8.30 pm based on secret information. The raid was conducted after coordinating the police from various stations. A team including 25 women, were taken into custody.
