MUNNAR: The police arrested four people, said to be the organisers of the night party in Wagamon. Police found that the resort was booked for the party by Ernest, a native of Kochi. Ganja and ten grams of hashish oil have been seized. However, there is no official confirmation in it.

A raid is still continuing in the resort. According to the owner, the team booked three rooms for birthday celebrations and reached there. The police are questioning the 60 taken into custody. They are from different parts of the state.

The resort is owned by a CPI local leader. He has been identified as Elappara former panchayat president Shaji Kuttikad. Parties have been held here in a similar manner earlier. The police had then warned them and left.

Police raided the resort last night and seized a large cache of drugs. The raid was conducted at around 8.30 pm based on secret information. The raid was conducted after coordinating the police from various stations. A team including 25 women, were taken into custody.

In the meanwhile, the police stopped Congress DCC president Ibrahimkutty Kallar and his team who reached the resort staging protests. The Congress accused the police of trying to cover up the case. The Congress has accused the CPM and CPI leaders of trying to downplay the amount of drugs seized.
