THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The BJP has come out in support of Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, who has turned down the state government's plea to convene a special session of the state assembly to pass a resolution against the central government's contentious agricultural laws. BJP state president K Surendran said the party was accepting the decision taken by the governor.

He said that the governor was blocking the move to bring a resolution in the Kerala Legislative Assembly against the agricultural laws passed by both the Houses of Parliament and signed into law by the President. The BJP president said the move by the ruling and opposition parties to insult democracy was unconstitutional.
