THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that the farmer’s protest in New Delhi is a blow upon the preconceived notion that the centre can impose any inhumane law upon the people using their unquestionable power. He said this while speaking at the protest meeting held in Martyr’s square at Palayam after declaring solidarity with the ongoing farmer’s protest in Delhi. “The farmer’s protest is not based on issues which affect only a particular region in the country, it’s a national issue which could debilitate the agriculture sector and it will also affect Kerala. Nobody should think the protests could be destroyed by any malicious means,” the chief minister said.

Meanwhile, everyone expected that the chief minister will speak on the Governor’s act of denying nod to cabinet’s plea to convene a special assembly session to pass a resolution against the farm laws, he didn’t touch that issue. The protest venue witnessed the participation of ministers and leaders from other fronts.
