THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 6169 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, Health Minister KK Shailaja said.
Among these, 5349 persons developed the disease through contact including 662 cases without an identified source of infection. 98 persons who came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus. 60 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 4808 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 62,802 active cases in the state.
The state confirmed 22 deaths due to the virus on Wednesday with the toll rising to 2892.
