KOCHI: Former Crime Branch chief Tomin Thachankary has made a crucial revelation in the Jasna missing case. He said that the COVID pandemic occurred at a time when the investigation was progressing based on phone calls and it affected the investigation.
"Pathanamthitta SP KG Simon was investigating Jasna's disappearance. There was a lot of progress in the case at the time and we had understood whether she was alive or dead. That is when the COVID pandemic occurred and as a result, we were unable to go to Tamil Nadu as part of the investigation," Thachankary said during a recent interview.
He added that Simon will retire on the 31st and is working on the case. Jasna, a second-year graduate student of St. Dominic's College, Kanjirapally, went missing in March 2018.
