THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A KIAL officer was fired for posting Facebook post against the CM. The officer has been identified as KL Rameshan, assistant manager of the fire brigade.

Rameshan had criticised the government and the Chief Minister in connection with the Supreme Court verdict regarding the Padmanabhaswamy temple. KIAL explained that action was taken against the officer for breach of discipline. However, Rameshan said the move is due to the formation of an independent workers' union. He also said that he would take legal action against KIAL's decision.
