KASARGOD: State chief of the youth league, Munavvar Ali Shihab Thangal visited slain DYFI worker Ouf’s home in the district. Munavvar Ali visited Ouf’s relatives at his home by 11 am on Saturday. He also said that the Muslim League stands against politics of vengeance and hate and the party joins with the loss of Ouf’s family.

The Muslim League leader said that it was local issues which led to the murder. “There is no high-level conspiracy in the case. It doesn’t involve any political intentions of the party. Preliminary investigation on the case is ongoing. I strongly condemn this murder,” Munavvar Ali said.

“Neither the Muslim League nor Youth League supports the politics of hate and vengeance. I have come here as per the directions of party chief Hyderali Shihab Thangal. Muslim league clearly understands the feelings of those who are being killed in political vengeance cases. The party has never taken the stand to protect the accused involved in such cases,” he added.

The Muslim League leader said that nobody should be killed in this land in the name of politics. “Our demand is to conduct a comprehensive investigation on Ouf’s murder. He also added that the party has ousted the accused involved in the case from the party yesterday itself,”
he said.

Even though Munavvar Ali Shihab Thangal reached Ouf’s home along with the local leaders of the Muslim League, people only allowed Munavvar Ali to enter inside the home. The people who blocked Munavvar Ali’s car also took the strong stand of no other leaders of the party, except Munavvar Ali can see his relatives.
