THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police has proved the death of 51-year-old Shakhakumari who died of electric shock was a murder. Probe officials have informed that her 28-year-old husband, Arun a native of Balaramapuram has conceded to have committed the crime. The incident happened on Saturday early morning. Arun took Shakha to Medical College on a serious condition stating that she had an electric shock. He told the hospital authorities that she got an electric shock while at home. However, the doctors who confirmed her death informed police and police officials, in turn, took the custody of Arun.

The forensic team who reached their home scanned the entire home. Finally, Arun conceded to police that Sakhakumari and Arun who got married two months ago had a verbal fight just a day before her murder and later he killed her by giving her electric shock. Shakha’s sister in law Gracy in her testimony to the police has said that her death is murder, as bloodstains were found near her body and cable was found near the dead body in a way that it was attached to the electric reading meter installed outside the home.
