THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Explaining the distaste between 51-year-old Shakha Kumari and her husband Arun, Vijayakumar who works as a housekeeper for the couple said that the age difference with Shakha was an insult to the 26-year-old Arun and he had asked Shakha for a divorce.

But Vijayakumar says Shakha was not ready for this. Arun Kumar got married to Shakha only about two months back. She died early during the early hours of Saturday. Arun had initially told police that the cause of death was due to electric shock.

However, the doctors who examined the body of Shakha expressed some doubts in this regard and the police took Arun into custody. During interrogation, Arun confessed that he had killed his wife.
