THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The High Command delegation has arrived in Thiruvananthapuram to resolve the unrest in the state Congress following the setback in the local body elections and to discuss radical reforms in the party ahead of the Assembly elections. Acting AICC General Secretary in charge of Kerala Tariq Anwar, AICC Secretaries Ivan D'Souza and P.V. Mohan, P. Viswanathan and Kabita, the office bearer of the Mahila Congress, have arrived in the state capital and will hold discussions with state Congress leaders today and tomorrow.

The High Command has given the message that the party is ready for radical change ahead of the Assembly elections. Although there will be no change of leadership for the time being, the heads of most DCCs are likely to change. The change is certain in the districts where MPs and MLAs are DCC presidents. Non-functioning office bearers at KPCC and DCC levels will be replaced. After Tariq Anwar's return, the AICC secretaries will visit all the districts and hold detailed discussions with the activists. The High Command has sought a comprehensive report after examining the party's activities at all levels. Changes will be made based on this.

On Sunday morning, Tariq Anwar will hold a private meeting with members of the Political Affairs Committee. After that, he will meet the MPs, MLAs and KPCC office bearers one by one. The final report will be prepared after collecting opinions from them as well as from various district-level leaders.
