THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: More information has come out regarding the death of a middle-aged woman who was killed by her young husband. It is learned that Shakha Kumari, a 51 - year - old resident of Thresyapuram in Thiruvananthapuram, owned a large plot of land and she took the initiative to get married after falling in love with the 26-year-old Arun.
Neighbors of Shakha have more to talk about this. They say that Arun got out of their wedding reception after some time and got into a car. They say that Arun came to marry Shakha without the accompaniment of his relatives or family and they did not know much about him.
The only thing the locals knew was that Arun was a native of 10th stone and also remember that his behavior was suspicious. Shakha's house was located in a plot of more than one acre and also owns a large piece of land in her family's name. There are indications that Arun established a relaionship with her to take advantage.
The locals remember that the two had gone to the panchayat office to register their marriage. Vijayakumar, who works as a housekeeper in the couple's house, had spoken about the distaste between Shakha Kumari and Arun.
Vijayakumar said that the age difference with Shakha was an insult to Arun and he had asked Shakha for a divorce but she was not ready for this. Arun Kumar got married to Shakha only about two months ago.
Shakha died on early hours of Saturday. Arun had initially told police that the cause of death was electroution. However, the doctors who examined the body of the branch expressed some doubts in this regard and the police took Arun into custody. During interrogation, Arun confessed that he had killed his wife.
Arun told police that he had killed Shakha Kumari by electrocuting her and that it was because the divorce did not take place. Police said more information would be revealed once the post-mortem and forensic examination of the branch's body are completed. Shakha's father, who was a teacher, had died earlier. She was living with her bedridden mother.
