SIVAGIRI: The 88th Pilgrimage conferences have commenced in Sivagiri, earlier than the formal date. Although the formal start of the pilgrimage is on December 30, the conference was rescheduled due to restrictions in view of the current situation. Sivagiri TV, the official news channel of Sivagiri Math, broadcasts the conference programs online through its YouTube channel.

When the Sivagiri pilgrimage was allowed in front of the Kottayam Nagampadam temple in 1928, the conferences are being held till January 1 on the eight topics suggested by Gurudevan. Conferences will be broadcast online at 9 am every day. The first meeting on Christmas Day was about devotion. Then, on the second day, a health conference on hygiene was held.
