THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Finance Minister Dr Thomas Isaac, who has given priority to KIIFB projects in the last four state budgets, is aiming for job creation in the state this time. Instead of infrastructure development projects, the budget to be presented in the Assembly on January 15 will focus on big projects to address unemployment.
Minister Isaac said that instead of giving skill training to the youth of Kerala and sending them abroad for employment, a system will be set up to provide adequate employment opportunities in Kerala itself. He is confident that the Left Front will continue to rule the state. The Finance Minister is now at the Vizhinjam Inspection Bungalow with the busy schedule of budget preparation.
Suggestions include:
* The coir sector will be revived by manufacturing new products with the help of modern equipment.
* With the development of Vizhinjam, outer ring road and allied development projects will be implemented for the development of Thiruvananthapuram district.
* Land bond will be tested in land acquisition for development of the district.
* Ten thousand crore loan for KIIFB in six months
* Additional loan from the Center with conditions
* Measures to increase the support price of agricultural crops
* Avoid rigor in VAT collection.
