THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister's former principal secretary M Sivasankar’s bail plea which was filed in connection with the customs case, registered as part of the gold smuggling case, will be considered by the court on Monday. The bail plea is considered by the economic offences court.
Sivasankar filed the bail plea citing health issues. In the plea, he also says that as he suspects the possibility of cancer, further tests and treatment should be done and he is also suffering from severe back pain.
Sivasankar also contends that he has no role in the case, and the department has not produced any solid evidence against him. He added that only Swapna Suresh has given testimony against him and the department might have pressurised her to give testimony against him.
