VELLARADA: The dead body of Shakhakumari, youngest daughter of Albert and Philomina, who was killed by her husband by giving electric shock, was buried in the family cemetery in her ancestral property. The inquest of the dead body which was conducted in the presence of RDO was transferred to Medical College for post mortem proceedings after receiving the Covid 19 test result. The dead body which reached Shakhakumari’s home by 4 pm was kept at the home for some time for the people and relatives to pay their last respects and was later buried in their family cemetery.

Her husband Arun said that Shakhakumari died by electric shock on Saturday morning. The hospital authorities informed the police as they were not convinced by Arun’s justification. Even though Vellarada police took Arun into custody and questioned him, no information was received initially. He finally conceded that he killed her wife by giving an electric shock, after continuous questioning by police authorities. Arun was working as the PRO of a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. His parents didn’t know that he was married. His relatives said that he had no contacts with his family for the last three months.
