THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 41 persons got arrested in the state in connection with transmitting nude images of children online. The operation named ‘P hunt,’ includes a doctor among the 41 arrested. A vast majority among the arrested are IT professionals and highly educated people.

On Sunday, 465 places were raided simultaneously. 339 cases were registered. ADGP Manoj Abraham who led the operation said that raids were carried out on the information that nude images of kids between the age of nine to fifteen are being circulated in the online media. On Sunday, the third edition of the operation ‘P hunt’ was held.

Operation P hunt is the cyber operation being carried out by cyber dome and the state police for the last two years. P hunt was started with the intention to nab those who encourage and run child pornography via online media.
