
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 3047 COVID-19 cases on Monday, Health Minister KK Shailaja said. Among these, 2707 persons developed the disease through contact including 275 cases without an identified source of infection. 35 persons who came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus.
30 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 4172 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 64,028 active cases in the state.
The state confirmed 14 deaths due to the virus on Monday with the toll rising to 2990.

In the last 24 hours, 32,869 samples have been tested. The test positivity rate stands at 9.27.
With the addition of 1 new region and the removal of 2, there are 465 hotspots in the state.
