THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: P K Kunhalikutty MP held talks with Cardinal Cleemis. The meet comes ahead of the state assembly polls, where the Christian votes in central Travancore are crucial. He also told media persons that he also talked about political issues with them. Kunhalikutty told in the press meet held after the talks that UDF is capable to solve any concerns of the Church faction.

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Oommen Chandy in a press meet at Kottayam has said that the party and UDF will work in a united manner in the upcoming assembly polls. Even though he didn’t give a clear reply to the press persons over the demand of other parties in UDF for his active involvement in the party leadership.

UDF is concerned over the humiliating defeat of the party in the local body polls. However, UDF leaders are engaged in activities to boost the front’s influence among the people.
