KOTTAYAM: Mani C Kappan will contest as UDF candidate in Pala seat, said Kerala Congress leader P J Joseph. The Pala seat will be given to Kappan and he will contest as NCP candidate, said Joseph.

In the end, P J Joseph said Mani C Kappan would be the candidate in Pala. The UDF will wrest control of Thodupuzha Municipal Corporation sabotaged the last minute, within a year. Joseph explained that it was not the problems in the UDF that caused the loss of power. The UDF wrested power in most of the municipalities in central Travancore. Joseph said the claim of Jose K Mani proved to be hollow.

Meantime, the NCP leadership refused to respond on the issue. NCP state president Peethambaran Master said that he is not aware of Joseph’s statement that the Pala seat belonged to the NCP.
