KOTTAYAM: Dr Yuhanon Mar Diascoros Metropolitan, secretary of the Episcopal Synod of the Orthodox Church, has said that the Chief Minister has taken a biased stance in church row. While stating that no church has intervened in the internal affairs of another church, he added that the CM has made way for that too.

Dr Yuhanon Mar Diascoros Metropolitan also said that it was unfortunate that the CM was acting as the spokesperson of one particular group. "The Chief Minister's remarks are a challenge to the judicial system. The remarks made by the Chief Minister as the failings of the Orthodox Church will cause misunderstanding in society. It is very unfortunate that the church has been blamed. When the Chief Minister says that the Orthodox Church is not ready for a compromise, he should check how many times did the Church participate in the discussions to resolve the issue amicably." he said.

He also added that the Orthodox Church will resist all attempts to use the church row for profit.
