THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Dry run in four districts of Kerala tomorrow ahead of distribution of COVID vaccine. The dry run will be conducted in Thiruvananthapuram, Wayanad, Idukki and Palakkad districts. The dry run will be conducted at three hospitals in Thiruvananthapuram and one each in other districts.

The Union Health Ministry had earlier informed that COVID vaccine dry run would be conducted in all states from January 2. A two-day dry run was successfully organized in four states earlier. The two-day dry run was conducted in Krishna in Andhra Pradesh, Rajkot in Gujarat, Gandhi Nagar, Ludhiana, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar in Punjab, Sonitpur and Nalbari in Assam.

Setting up COVID vaccine distribution system with the help of technology, uploading information, things in receiving vaccine and permitting vaccination, deployment of vaccination team, delivery of materials at session site, mock drill of vaccination and reporting at block and district-state level meetings, review etc are included in the dry run.
