KANNUR: The Excise department has arrested seven persons including a woman who conducted a drug party to celebrate the new year. The excise team has also seized LSD stamps, hashish oil and MDMA which were brought to the party at Dharamshala Bakkalam Sneha Inn Hotel in the district.

The arrested have been identified as KK Shameerali, PC Thayyib, Muhammad Haneef, Muhammed Shihab, Muhammed Shafeeq, K Shahabas and M Uma. Drugs worth Rs 5 lakh were seized from them. According to the excise department, the drugs are coming from Bengaluru.
