THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Film Distributors Association has taken a stand against the state government's decision to allow theaters in the state to operate from January 5. The Distributors Association stated that films won't be released even if the theatres are opened and new films will be distributed only after receiving pending money from the theatres. This was announced by Siyad Koker, producer and president of the Distributors Association.
He said that distributors would co-operate in opening the theaters only if the government resolves the conditions presented before it by the producers. Earlier, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had announced that the cinema theatres in the state will open on the 5th of this month.
