Responding to cyber attack after the marriage between his daughter Veena and DYFI All India President Mohammad Riyaz, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said he had not asked Riyaz and Veena about the subject and that he thinks they might have considered it a life experience. The Chief Minister opened his mind in an interview given to a Malayalam weekly.

"The practice of abusing family members in the name of political animosity needs to be stopped. I think the children may have considered it a life experience too. It may have hurt at first. Then it may have turned into strength to face the rough aspects of life. I never asked about it.", he said.

He also responded to the allegations in his wife's name and the 'Kamala International' narratives. Despite the inquiry by several agencies, none could find anything, he said. The one who is not heavy in the lap need not be afraid, the CM added.

The CM said that Kamala is the wife of a communist and she knew that the journey would not be through easy roads. "At the time of my marriage, I was a full-time Communist Party activist. Kamala, is the daughter of an Onchiyam protester and a member of party family. She has heard lies over and over again and it has not exhausted her”, he said.
