THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior Congress leaders have informed the High Command that small changes are enough to remedy the party's collapse in the local body elections. This was opined by K Sudhakaran and Ramesh Chennithala. It is noteworthy that this view of senior leaders comes at a time when a group of leaders are constantly calling for a change of leadership. The decision to not make major changes in leadersip was made at the meeting of general secretaries and vice-presidents.

Kodikunnil Suresh MP opined that the BJP would not have made gains this time in Pandalam if the party had rectified the mistake that led to the defeat there in the last assembly elections. He also called for a comprehensive change in organizational leadership. Meanwhile, KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran said that newcomers will be given due consideration in the coming elections.

High Command asked for activity reports from Congress' constituency committees and block committees. Committees with poor performance will be reconstituted soon. The booth committee meeting has been decided to convene.
