THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In an interview given to a Malayalam weekly, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that a survey conducted by a private news channel in Malayalam four months ago was politically motivated and aimed at waking up the opposition and the BJP, which had no allegations against the government. Anyone who check the drama and news that followed the survey can understand this, he added.

The CM also alleged that activities were organzied to achieve the political objective behind the survey ever since.

As mentioned by the channel, the Chief Minister said that if the question is whether the Left will get continuity, the answer will still be the same as it was then. He said he was satisfied with the four-and-a-half years of the state government and was able to keep the promises made to the people.

He said that the government was able to face unexpected challenges and has been an example for the country in terms of welfare and development activities. In the interview, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan attacked the BJP and the Congress, the main party in the UDF.

The Chief Minister criticized the Congress and the BJP for behaving in the same way and said that the situation in Kerala was such that there was no distinction between the two parties. He scoffed that people knew what would happen if anyone thought that they could gain by leaning on BJP, but only those who thought they could make a profit by going BJP's way did not know that.

CM Vijayn said that BJP demanded the central government to stop highway development and compared Kerala to Somalia and the party is only trying to create communal divisions. The CM said the BJP would not hesitate to join hands with the Congress to push back the country and undermine development and welfare activities.
